IONX 400 is an overhead ionizer that, like the IONX 100,
features two separate and totally independent sensors.
The first sensor is a closed loop sensor that is
designed to keep the unit at a very tight balance, ±10
volts. The second sensor is a floating sensor
that monitors the balance of the unit. The status of the
balance is displayed in two sets of indicators, one is
positive and the other is negative. the positive
indicators are labeled with the red color and the
negative indicators are labeled with the yellow color.
The indicators will
display the out of balance conditions in an increment of
20 volts. A critical out of balance condition, in both
polarities of positive and negative, is indicated by the
infinity symbol, which represents an out of balance
greater than 100 volts.
IONX 400 features four
large DC fans that are placed 18" apart from
the center of one another. The fans are capable of
providing wide area coverage and very fast decay time
(less than 1.3 seconds at 18 inches, directly under the
fans).
The unit also features
an IEC connector assembly that includes an IEC
connector, on/off switch, two fuses and a 120/220 volt
selectable switch. The speed of the fans can be
conveniently adjusted by the control located in the
front of the unit.
It is suitable for
clean rooms, MR heads, disk drives, medical
environments, electronic manufacturing houses and
assemblies, and in any environment that requires
neutralization/control of static charges.
